Reporting findings effectively helps ensure that your nonprofit’s stakeholders understand the data and can then use it to make decisions, make improvements, and advocate for your work. In this Connecting Evidence video, I’ll run through best practices related to qualitative results and quantitative data. I’ll share some data visualization best practices, as well as good data visualization examples. I will also share some report writing steps you can take to structure your documents. Learning how to present qualitative data and quantitative data is a key part of building evaluation capacity and building nonprofit capacity as you’ll be better able to leverage your data. I’ll share a qualitative data example highlighting how reporting qualitative research findings can be done in an engaging way. I’ll also share several charts that can be used when presenting quantitative data.
