Participatory Approaches For Nonprofits

Updated: Sep 25, 2021

Participatory approaches are a great way to engage the community while planning or evaluating an initiative or project.

Incorporating a participatory approach in your community development can be an important strategy for your nonprofit or coalition. Participatory approaches help ensure that your evaluations / data are equitable, credible, and have more buy-in. Plus, it’s not just beneficial for evaluation but also in a number of situations.

Participatory approach development can be complicated, so in this video, we will focus on the following questions:

  1. What is a participatory approach? (i.e., participatory approach definition)

  2. What are some options to start incorporating a participatory approach to your evaluations?

You’ll get a few ideas on how to grow your participatory approach in your evaluations.

You’ll find out about new videos and I’ll send you resources (e.g., new grant opportunities).
